The Recruitment Genome Project
Welcome to the Recruitment Genome Project
New Phase Will Define Use of Social Networks for Recruiting and Recruitment Business Development
We’re pleased to invite you to participate in the third major survey of the groundbreaking Recruitment Genome Project, a multiyear project by Arbita to map the building blocks of successful recruiting strategies.
“The Recruitment Genome Project is the largest longitudinal study of its kind ever conducted in our industry,” said Don Ramer, Arbita founder and CEO. “Going deep into the landscape of recruiting, and extending the research over years, we’ll be able to identify and understand who we are, how we act and how we have acted, and, more important, how we can apply that to look ahead and anticipate changes and trends in the industry.”
Hundreds of thousands of recruiters have been invited to participate in the project, and over 1,000 have completed the first two surveys.
Participating in the project’s newest survey is easy. Simply complete a short survey (15 minutes or less) about your current and anticipated use of social networks for recruiting and your business development in the coming year. As our thank-you for participating, you will receive a complimentary copy of our final analysis, as well as frequent updates along the way.
One of the most significant trends uncovered in the Recruitment Genome Project’s initial survey in early 2009 was that an overwhelming number of recruiters expected to increase their use of online social networks for recruiting and business development in 2010.
The project will now drill deeper to answer pertinent questions to the industry, including:
- How are online social networks being used for recruiting and business development?
- Which social networks are the most useful?
- Do companies have effective strategies for using the major social networks, niche and regional networks and blogs?
- How will investment in social media for recruiting change?
Arbita published the initial Recruitment Genome Report in spring 2009, based on the findings of its first wave of research. The data collected from the first survey was tabulated and analyzed by a panel consisting of Arbita's executive team and several industry thought leaders. The panel's analysis and recommendations are captured in the white paper “Act While Others Wait: Savvy Recruitment Marketing Strategies Now Ensure Success While Others Wait for Better Times."
The second phase of research found that candidate behavior had shifted in 2009 and that the recruitment community had failed to keep pace with that change. Based on a comparison between the first two major Recruitment Genome Project surveys and other primary and secondary research, Arbita concluded that recruiters could stay ahead of the curve by implementing six forward-thinking recruitment marketing initiatives in 2010.
The second report from the Recruitment Genome Project, “6 Must-Fund Recruitment Marketing Initiatives for 2010,” illuminates how candidate behavior and recruitment marketing changed last year – and the six crucial initiatives recruiters need to undertake in response.
Over the next few years, The Recruitment Genome Project will conduct additional surveys, interviews and other forms of primary research that draw upon Arbita’s rich knowledge base of recruitment marketing analytics.
