John Bell

John Bell / Founder, Chairman, and
CEO of Boxwood Technology

John Bell is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Boxwood Technology, the leading provider of online career center technology and career development services for professional societies and trade associations. Prior to launching Boxwood in 1998, he founded Bell and Associates, a full service recruiting firm that earned national recognition as the Nationwide Job Placement Network for the National Systems Programmer Association. He anticipated the emergence of the “internet electronic marketplace” in the early 1990s, and, after automating Bell and Associates, launched a software company, which subsequently became today’s Boxwood.

For more than two decades, John has delivered technology applications that have enhanced the electronic recruitment industry and shaped the nature of talent acquisition. He is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and serves on its Marketing Section Council. Boxwood is a Charter Member of International Association of Employment Web Sites (IAEWS) and John currently serves on their board.

Jorrit Blok

Jorrit Blok / CEO of Otys Recruiting Technology

Jorrit Blok is CEO of Otys Recruiting Technology, an advanced platform for search, selection, and career management. As an experienced expert, he continues to make technology that simplifies the work process. He believes that technology should be created to help people interact at all levels. He has held Account and Sales Manager positions at Kooijman Software, B.V., Kooijman Computers, and TTP.

Kate Bruener

Kate Bruener / Managing Director of KBEvents

Kate Bruener is an experienced Project Management professional who produces conferences and events, and is founder and Managing Director of KBEvents, a meetings management firm located just south of Seattle, Washington.  Under her leadership, KBEvents creates, produces and markets conferences and tradeshows both as proprietary programs and as an agency for her clients.  KBEvents specializes in HR-related events nationwide.

Susan Burns

As the founder and president of Talent Synchronicity Susan develops strategic talent solutions through an integrated alignment with core business functions and processes. By weaving together technology, social media, branding, P & L experience, and alignment with strategic business directives intrinsic value is created across recruitment and talent initiatives.  With a keen focus on adaptive and sustainable solutions, Susan facilitates establishing a foundation for talent functions to deliver enhanced value across the organization in today’s and tomorrow’s business environments.

Through hands-on leadership experience in organizations of various size and brand visibility, Susan has delivered successful and differentiated solutions to develop competitive recruitment strategies, employment brand engagement, workforce/talent planning, and university recruitment programs.  Susan is a strong advocate of integrating social media to enhance engagement of prospective talent and advance a company’s brand equity and competitive positioning.

Susan also serve as Executive Director for The Future of Talent - a community of senior talent leaders influencing the future of talent, founded in 2004 by Kevin Wheeler. Through an annual retreat, practitioners come together to design guiding forecasts and strategies in the areas of talent acquisition, branding, knowledge management, employee development, and leadership.

Denny Clark

Denny is the Director, Thought Leadership Institute, LLC.  In this capacity, he leads the formation and ongoing communication within the multiple Exchanges of the Thought Leadership Institute.  The initial group, Corporate Sourcing Leadership Exchange, is comprised of multiple corporations and firms that are committed to building and optimizing internal talent sourcing functions.  Additional Exchanges dedicated to Diversity Recruiting, Workforce Planning, New Recruiting Director On-Boarding and others represent the future substance of the Thought Leadership Institute.

Peter Weddle

Peter Weddle / Recruiter, HR Consultant

Peter Weddle has had over 25 years of experience in the Human Resource and recruitment industries, pioneering concepts in Human Resource leadership and employment. From 1985 to 1988, he founded and then ran the Hay Group´s workforce management and development subsidiary, Hay Systems, Inc. From 1988 to 1991, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of University Research Corporation, an international company which provided Human Resource and management consulting expertise. In 1991, he founded Job Bank USA, Inc., one of the nation´s largest electronic employment service companies. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Job Bank USA, Inc. until he sold it in 1996. As a former HR consultant and business CEO, Peter Weddle has brought his extensive blend of talent and experience into the realm of publishing and editing. He has authored and edited over two dozen books and has contributed to the Wall Street Journal, The National Business Employment Weekly, and CNN.com. Currently, he writes two newsletters that are distributed worldwide and oversees WEDDLE´s LLC, a print publisher specializing in the field of Human Resources.

Kevin Wheeler

Kevin Wheeler / Speaker, Author, and Founder and President of Global Learning Resources, Inc.

Kevin Wheeler is known world-wide as the preeminent expert on human capital acquisition, human capital development, and corporate education. He is the author of hundreds of articles on talent management, career development, recruiting, human capital, leadership, corporate universities, and learning strategies. He has contributed chapters to several books including a chapter on leadership and recruiting in “On Staffing: Advice and Perspectives for HR Leaders,” published by Wiley in 2004. His latest book is entitled "The Corporate University Workbook: Launching the 21st Century Learning Organization," published by Pfeiffer, Inc. (www.cuworkbook.com).
